Sacramento, CA – Today, on the California State Assembly Floor, Assemblymember Chris Holden recognized Gerald Freeny for his confirmation as the first African American president of the Pasadena Tournament of  Roses Board of Directors. Freeny will provide leadership for the 130th Rose Parade on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

Assemblymember Holden's 19th Annual Block Party and Resource Fair had participation from 60 state and local government agencies and non-profits to provide information to the public. Program included CLBC scholarship award presentation and entertainment.

(Sacramento) – The passing of a multi-billion dollar budget can often be an arduous process. Thankfully, the 2018-19 California State Budget has been approved in a timely manner, and now that funding has been put in place for a variety of services, Assemblymembers like Chris R. Holden are ready to get to work. “I think we’ve done a good job in terms of reaching out and trying to create a(n) appropriate touch on every community throughout the state,” says Assemblymember Holden (D-Pasadena).

Sacramento, CA – Dive Warriors’ Kyle M.  Schneider was recognized as the 41st Assembly District’s “Veteran of the Year” by Assemblymember Chris Holden. Schneider began serving as a Veteran Advocate after his time of service in the Navy.

Sacramento, CA – In a ceremony in Sacramento, Assemblymember Chris Holden honored Webster’s Community Pharmacy as “Small Business of the Year” for the 41st Assembly District. Webster’s owners Meredith and Michael Miller received the recognition during the Annual Small Business of Year Luncheon organized by the California Small Business Association.

“When it comes to a small business making a positive impact in the community, you couldn’t find anyone better than Webster’s Community Pharmacy,” said Assemblymember Chris Holden.
