Sacramento (CA) – Assemblymember Chris Holden introduced Assembly Bill 2370 that expands lead testing in drinking water within child care centers. The legislation also encourages greater lead testing of high-risk children, and informs parents about the risks and effects of lead exposure.

“Lead poisoning is a serious threat to children’s health,” said Assemblymember Chris Holden. “Increasing lead testing for California’s high-risk children is one of the single biggest steps we can take to prevent lead poisoning.”

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Chris Holden (D-Pasadena) says the Governor’s annual address to a joint session of the State Legislature was right on point…a mix of optimism and pragmatism. “I like the fact that the Governor has focused on making sure that we had reserves coming out of the recession so that if we have any future financial catastrophes we’ll be in a position here in California to address them properly,” Assemblymember Holden said.
