Assemblymember Holden Urges Residents to Prepare for Summer Wildfires

(Pasadena) – California’s drought has placed the state in fire season year-round. But with warmer temperatures in summer, the risk increases. Fire officials and California State Assemblymember Chris Holden (D-Pasadena) are warning residents to take every precaution.

“2014 could turn out to be the worst fire season ever,” said Assemblymember Holden. “Already this year, fire crews have responded to 2300 wildfires across California.”

Assemblymember Holden and fellow legislators in Sacramento have increased the state’s firefighting budget by nearly $100 million in anticipation of a severe fire season. KABC-LA reported on the story. Watch this Assembly Assets Video to learn more.
