(Pasadena) — For fourteen years, Assemblymember Chris Holden (D-Pasadena) has welcomed the public to his street for a fun day of constituent services and conversation on issues facing the community — set against the backdrop of a monumental block party. From the JPL Mars Rover, to the giant dragon slide, to the art table hosted by the Armory Center, it was an uplifting and informative day. More than 40 state and local agencies were on hand to help residents of the 41st Assembly District. Learn more about this Pasadena-area tradition, broadened to the whole 41st District in this Assembly Access video.
It's that time of year again. Please join me for our 16th Annual Block Party and Community Resource Fair this Saturday, August 8.

As the number of measles cases rises throughout California and the nation, the vaccine conflict has heated up. I am inviting you to join me for an Educational Forum on Vaccinations. How well-vaccinated is your child's daycare, pre-school or school? Who should get the vaccine? What about lingering safety concerns regarding the vaccine? Public health professionals will be present to outline the reasons for vaccinations from a public health standpoint.
Measles are highly contagious. Vaccinations are effective in preventing the spread of measles. If you are not immunized, professionals from the California Department of Public Health recommend immediate immunization.
