SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, John Harabedian took the oath of office to serve as the Assemblymember for California’s 41st District, officially beginning his tenure representing the diverse communities of Bradbury, Claremont, La Cañada Flintridge, La Verne, Monrovia, Pasadena, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, and parts of Hesperia, Rancho Cucamonga, and Upland.
Surrounded by family, friends, and supporters, Assemblymember Harabedian pledged to prioritize the needs of his constituents and champion legislation to address the most pressing challenges facing the region and the state.

As a native of Sierra Madre, Harabedian brings deep roots and a proven track record of leadership to his role in the Assembly. During his time as a City Councilmember and two-term Mayor of Sierra Madre, he spearheaded efforts to advance renewable energy, conserve natural resources, and improve municipal services. He also served as a founding board member of the Clean Power Alliance, leading the charge for sustainable energy solutions in the region.
With a background in law and public service, Harabedian has worked as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and as an advocate for immigrant rights and social justice. He is dedicated to using this experience to address the unique needs of the 41st District.
Assemblymember Harabedian is committed to advancing legislative priorities that uphold California's values, including addressing homelessness, tackling climate change, safeguarding democracy, protecting reproductive rights, and preventing gun violence.
