After a Three-Year Effort, Another Win for the Developmental Disability Community
Sacramento, CA – After a three-year legislative and budget battle to increase funding for developmental disability service providers, Assemblymember Chris Holden has claimed another victory to add more than $200 million in new state funding, in addition to the $200 million federal matching funds, for a total of over $400 million for the developmental disability community. This increase will address the minimum wage disparity and help nearly 330,000 Californians living with these disabilities to find the services they need to lead valued and productive lives within our community.
