After Two-Year Effort, A Win For The Developmental Disability Community

Sacramento, CA – After a two-year legislative and budget battle to increase funding for developmental disability service providers, Assemblymember Holden has claimed victory after last year’s $25 million State Budget increase was matched with an additional $15 million in federal dollars by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Assemblymember Chris Holden’s Statement on PG&E’s New CEO and Board of Directors Selection

Sacramento, CA – Today, PG&E announced its new CEO and Board of Directors selection. Assemblymember Holden issued the following statement:

"I'm not impressed. I don’t see much in this collection that indicates that they are going to watch out for anything but their bottom line but we’ll see. It appears the priority in this selection was protecting shareholders over ratepayers. The legislature will be keeping an eye on what immediate actions PG&E's new board will take to make sure wildfire victims, ratepayers, and our clean energy goals are not left out of the picture."

Assemblymember Holden’s Legislation to Remove 710 North Project Area from Freeway Code Passes First Policy Committee

Sacramento, CA - Assemblymember Chris Holden’s legislation to remove the 710 North Project Area between Interstate 210 and Interstate 10 from the California State Freeway and Expressway code, Assembly Bill 29, passed the Assembly Transportation Committee today on a unanimous vote.

“Fixing our state’s highway code to reflect the new reality is the logical next step to bury the tunnel idea once and for all,” said Assemblymember Chris Holden.
