Assemblymember Holden Introduces Idle Oil Well Emission Reporting Bill

Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Chris Holden reintroduced legislation that requires operators of idle and abandoned oil and gas wells to report  hydrocarbon emissions found during the well plugging process. Assembly Bill 1328 also requires results from these tested oil and gas wells to be collected and publicly reported by the Department of Conservation.

“We need to know how much and how often these wells are emitting pollutants in order to protect public health,” said Assemblymember Chris Holden. 

Assemblymember Holden’s Water Conservation Tax Relief Legislation Helps Keep California Out of Drought

Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Chris Holden introduced AB 533 today which incentivizes participation in water efficiency and storm water runoff improvement programs.

 

“Water conservation shouldn’t be taxed,” said Assemblymember Chris Holden. “We must do all we can to incentivize Californians to increase water efficiency in a state that is prone to chronic droughts.”

Community Leaders Drs. Jacqueline and David Jacobs Recognized as Civil Rights Pioneers by the California State Legislature

Pasadena (CA) – Drs. Jacqueline and David Jacobs were recognized by Assemblymember Chris Holden and the California Legislative Black Caucus (CLBC) in Sacramento as the 41st Assembly District’s “2019 Unsung Heroes” for their contributions to the advancement of equal rights for all individuals.

Local Legislators Representing San Gabriel Mountain Foothill Communities to Host Wildfire Town Hall

Pasadena (CA) – Legislators representing communities at risk of wildfires along the San Gabriel Foothills from La Canada to Upland will host a wildfire town hall in Pasadena on Thursday February 21st 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Pasadena High School Gymnasium.

“We live in an area that is beautiful yet prone to wildfires which poses a risk to our property and well-being,” said Assemblymember Chris Holden. “The good news is that we can take steps at the individual and state level to help prevent wildfires that will save lives and our communities.”

Assemblymember Chris Holden Hosts Transportation Hearing: “Securing Transportation Growth Opportunities”

Rancho Cucamonga (CA) – As Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Regional Transportation Solutions, Assemblymember Chris Holden hosted a local informational hearing, "Securing Transportation Growth Opportunities" to discuss and address timely transportation issues for the region and state.
