Assemblymember Chris Holden Responds to Governor’s Budget

For immediate release:

Sacramento, CA – Today, Governor Gavin Newsom released his 2022-23 budget. Assemblymember Chris Holden (AD – 41) issued the following statement:

"I commend the Governor’s budget, the two main areas being our statewide COVID-19 response and enabling opportunities for future generations through education and transportation. By providing at home testing kits in California, we are bridging the gap to access and promoting prevention by meeting people where they are. Through increased transportation and education funding, we are meeting people at the crossroads of public transportation and education, which intersect more for some California students than others. I applaud the Governor’s response to making sure our communities are accessible and equitable with the commitment to build sustainable transit infrastructure and increasing school funding that allows our students to focus on their education and their futures."
