Assemblymember Chris Holden Welcomes New Staff

Sacramento, CA – Today, Assembly Member Holden is proud to welcome Domonique Jones as his new Legislative Director. Domonique brings extensive Senate, Assembly, California Legislative Black Caucus, and budget experience to the position.  Prior to joining Holden’s staff, she served as Legislative Director for Assembly Member Grayson. 

Domonique graduated from the University of California, Merced with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science. In her senior year, she was elected as the university’s first female student body president, paving the way for future female presidents.

Domonique succeeds Naima Ford, who will be starting a new role as a Senior Policy Advocate for the County Behavioral Health Directors Association of California. Naima Ford has served as Assemblymember Holden’s Legislative Director since 2016 and has ushered forward landmark legislation under her term.

“Naima’s contributions to my office has been immense. I was glad to work with her throughout her time here and wish her success in all her future endeavors,” said Holden.
